LAKWATSA: Filipino slang; Pasyalan, lakaran na walang pupuntahan [ to walk around aimlessly with no destination in mind ].
Four months after my arrival in the Philippines for good, I find myself smitten by the wanderlust bug and traveling to places around the country which I have never been to before. Thus LAKWATSA was born. LAKWATSA will chronicle my adventures in Manila and around the Philippines.
MikeMina. An interior designer previously based in Brunei Darussalam for fourteen years, was employed in one of Asia’s finest resort hotels as Special Projects Manager, handling a variety of responsibilities, from creative to operational aspects of the property. MikeMina was also in the Middle East for over five years in the mid-eighties until 1991. MikeMina is now back and blogging in the Philippines.
